Design Process

The first step to getting started on your new garden is to reach out! Give us a call or send us a message and tell us a little bit about your garden needs. From there, we can set up a consultation with you.

We will come out to meet you at the project site to go over in more detail what you imagine for your garden.

We will create a formal written proposal lining out the items discussed during the consultation, including plan and service fees. If you approve of the proposal, we will proceed with the work.

This is our first pass at creating a design for your garden. The focus is on the layout of the space more than individual plant placements. We will gather a collection of plant photos to show you, and go over any changes you might want to make to the layout.

From the comments received from the concept plan phase, we will create a Final Plan with more precise plant locations and details.

After creating a Final Plan, we can use the information to create an estimate for what the work will cost. Depending on the scale of the project, this can include the cost of plants, materials, deliveries, irrigation, contractor fees, labor, and project management fees.

Even the most low maintenance gardens require some amount of care! Upon completing your garden, we will go over options to make sure your garden continues to look good over time. This can be as intensive as weekly maintenance, or as little as a quarterly visit to check on things. We want to make sure your garden looks good not only upon installation, but for years to come!
